The largest and best-selling category, and Bf goodrich Advantage 2 belongs to it. No single property is pushed here at the expense of the others — comfort, grip, noise and tread life keep a sensible balance. For most drivers it is the safest bet: the tyre behaves predictably in the dry and in the wet and covers a decent number of kilometres.

What owners say
This is a follow up review to the other one I posted. I have now covered about 10000km with those tires over the span of 4 months.
My initial comments regarding comfort still stand. Its a super quiet tire and its qualities are fully oriented towards comfort.
However at least for my car they are a very (very) poor fit. I mentioned before that the sidewalls are too soft and this now also shows in the wear pattern.
My rear tires are like brand new. But my fronts have now rendered the on-center feel of the car very vague to the point where driving at regular highway speeds felt uncomfortable. I can clearly see how on the exterior side of the channel walls (for lack of better wording) I have squished the tires and started to eat at it. In practical terms this means that now if I need to do a quite direction change the front is not only slow to respond but starts to lose grip quite quickly and I can feel in the my steering wheel that I am just squishing the tire and asking it to do something it does not want to.
At this point I'm thinking that these are probably not well suited to bigger heavier cars despite their XL rating. I have only pushed them hard on mountain passes 3-4 times and that loss of performance is worrying. Especially considering the BMW G30 I drive only has a 2L petrol so is neither very powerful, not particularly nose heavy.
After my last highway drive I decided to give up on them and bought a set of crossclimate 3 sport which so far have made my car feel like a bmw once again. Once I do some more miles I will share a review on the Michelins as well.
TL;DR
For comfort on smaller passenger cars, probably fine. For anything else? Way too soft and likely to wear fast and perform poorly.
I bought a set to replace my previous Firestone Roadhawk's that came with my car when I bought it. I can't draw much of a comparison as the Firestone's were at the very end of their life when I got the car. (2022DOT with about 3mm of tread left)
I do a lot of driving in the summer and a large amount of it is on the highway or b roads and I wanted a comfort oriented tire since my car does not have any M Sport suspension bits and is quite comfort oriented already. For that purpose they are a great tire and I'm quit happy with my choice. Road noise is extremely low even on bad tarmac.
One downside of the comfort levels is that the sidewalls are extremely soft to the point where the car's 'on center' feel above 130 kph at the OE recommended pressures of 2.4 bar front and 2.8 bar rear is really bad. I bumped them up to 2.6 front and 3.0 rear and that made a huge difference and the car now also handles well at high speeds.
Interesting fact is that out of all the tires options from budget to premium in my size all tires were rated to 300kph, these were the only ones with an H speed rating. And whilst they hold the road well they don't give me enough confidence even with my bumped up pressures to drive above 180 kph for an extended period of time. But I also don't live in Germany so that's not a big deal.
I got to push them quite hard on some mountain roads and grip was surprisingly good. My trip took me trough the same mountain pass in both wet and dry conditions so I got a pretty good comparison and grip was really good in both. I've had Michelin PS4's and Goodyear Asymmetric 6's and I'd say these offer maybe 80-85% of the raw grip. But subjectively they are nowhere near as confidence inspiring and feedback is almost non existent. The front end feels mushy even with the higher pressures but loss of grip near the limit is quite progressive and the car wants to understeer first (maybe inherited from Michelin being their midrange brand?).
I've done about 3500km with them in the 2 months I've had them and they don't show any abnormal signs of wear in fact they look pretty much brand new. So I'd presume wear will be fine but time will tell.
In conclusion:
As a touring tire I definitely recommend them with the caveat that you must really care only about comfort.
Would I buy them again? On this car probably not. Even if my car is not at all sport oriented I still like the occasional spirited push on an empty road and it feels like these tires want to punish me for doing that. But as the touring comfort tire they are marketed as, they do a great job at that. But only that.
ps: tread when new before fitting in my 245/40/19 size was 7.2mm
