The middle ground between economy and an ordinary tyre — Continental CONTIECOCONTACT 5 sits exactly here. The manufacturer aims to keep fuel consumption low without paying for it with the weaker wet behaviour typical of purely economical models. In practice it is a tyre for drivers who cover a lot of kilometres and do not want to give up much safety along the way.

These tyres came factory fitted in my Skoda Octavia, these are fantastic tyres with excellent fuel economy, very good grip and braking they lasted 5 years and did 100,000 km (62,000 miles) with only 3 times tyres rotation throughout their lifetime. Even after 100,000 km they are still okay and can go more but, I couldn’t take more risk. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find them in the local market so I just changed to the Conti Comfort Contact 6 (CC6) I hope they will do a great job. I drive in combination of town and highway driving at high speeds reaching 200 km/hr as well as driving on bad roads with gravels, stones and potholes. I just love these tyres. Thank you Continental, that’s why I will always buy Continental tyres only.
I go 38.000 miles în the rear axle with a pair of Continental eco contact 5 ,that's say all.
This tyre is very well combined with my car, Hyundai i10. Its dry and wet handling is in hi level. They are the first tyres of my car, since 2019, and after 48.000 km they are still effective. That's why next month I am going to replace with EcoContact6.
Just good in dry road, weak in the wet, Good brake in dry but not very good in wet road. Very weak in aquaplaning, Comfort its ok but the wear is bad. I think Continental lose control for all tyre type. I dont buy again.
