Bought with older DOT (2 years) . Drove 3 months , above 5 degrees, they provide sufficient grip. But once temps drop below 5 degrees its over , most scarry tire ,that i've ever driven (its like driving plastic tyre,even on straight line the cross winds activate the ESP!!!!) ,sold immidiately and checked the car,thought it was ESP problem,but turns out car is OK, even rolling back to 7 year older mid class Gislaved.Never again.
I recently had the chance to put the Fulda Kristall Montero 3 to the ultimate test in deep snow, ice, and packed snow, and I am beyond impressed.
These tires cut through deep snow with ease. I had no issues maneuvering in or out of tight parking spots, even when the snow was high. Getting un-stuck is a thing of the past.
The steering and overall control are excellent. Even on slippery surfaces, the car goes exactly where you point it.
One of the standout features is the traction. There was virtually no wheel spin or sliding, even when starting from a standstill on packed snow.I felt a strong grip on the road during stops, with no sliding or loss of control, giving me total confidence behind the wheel.

Very bad handling, car looses touch when in corners. Good on dry, bad on wet roads. Got them new on my Clio. Wouldn’t by them again. Poor even with my 1.2 engine. Understeering on wet is often.
I bought these tires new in autumn of 2019 for an Opel Astra H. Since then I have done about 45.000km on them. This includes a fair share of gravelroads.
They are at about 4.5mm now and still have good traction, even in the snow, but obviously not as good as when they were new. They will be replaced after this winter with new winter tires.
They took a beating on gravelroads wich had the result of small rubberflakes chunking out from the outer thirds of the contact patch. However these didnt go as deep as the groves go, so I did not replace them for that issue.
In general a great winter tyre. Had these fitted to my Volvo S60 a couple of years ago with good results, I tried them again for our little Punto. They feel very stable and safe in the snow. I am a spirited drive and lite to push my car from time to time. With these Kristal Montero 3 that is not a problem. Stopping distance and acceleration in snow and slush is superb. In the damp danish weather they sometimes understeer a bit, but is think that is down to the natur of the little Fiat. I can higly recommend these winther Fuldas.
