Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. The set on my Porsche Cayman 3.4 GTS (981) were purchased on eBay from a dealer in Germany. Turns out that the OEM wheel & tyre set was evidently new / old stock, with manufacturing dates of 2014 (purchased in 2024). Initially I was circumspect about driving hard on the tyres, but they were 'as new' and have performed brilliantly on road and track. On the limit the car begins to move around but in a friendly manner, without drama even at high speeds. Wear has been very good. I have staggered sizes (265/35x20 Rears) and these are probably 80% worn in comparison to the fronts at 50%. This is to be expected as it's a rear drive car with 350+ bhp. I'm now wondering about what to fit next. Michelin PS4S is the defacto choice for most Porsches of this vintage (2016 model year). The car came on newish Pirelli P Zero's which didn't last well on track. I want to try the Michelin's but would hate to lose the on-limit feel of the Eagles. It would be interesting to make a comparison of the Eagle F1 Assy 2 and the later Assy 5 or 6. I've tried to do this on the comparator but it doesn't seem to be possible.
5 years and ~40-50K km on them and they were a dream. Have to replace them due to age but overall highly recommended for a sportier drive and feedback.
With a calm ride and 90% of the final distance in the city, fine. Using them for fun, not so good. The grip is good but not excellent. In the wet, it is better to go calmly and with caution.The mileage range varies extremely depending on whether it is used on the front or rear axle. Front ones with 6250 miles are finished. The rears with 6250 miles, are over 60% life. As for comfort and sound, everyone will be able to judge whether they want to mount them.
Got these for my BMW f30 m sport plus and they are much better than the Bridgestone potenza S001... They were not good on wet and were a bit loud.. got the Goodyear eagle F1 A2 rft tyres and they are much better in terms of comfortability and grip both in dry and wet... Done 14k on rears but still plenty of life.
These rear tyres make my normally stable Lexus is350 twitchy. This is really noticeable on adverse cambers, even slight e.g. on a motorway. Alignment is correct and pressure doesn't make much difference. Particularly bad with passengers in rear.
