No single property is pushed here at the expense of the others — comfort, grip, noise and tread life keep a sensible balance. For most drivers it is the safest bet: the tyre behaves predictably in the dry and in the wet and covers a decent number of kilometres.

<p>Now, after almost 3 years of owning these tires and abusing them every summer since ~2023, they have gotten to the point of needing to be replaced.
It's a DOT2018 tire, so they're slowly pushing a decade old with close to 5-5.5mm of tread.
They are still decent, but I can definitely feel the compound starting to turn to rock as time passes (even though it doesn't show any signs of failing).
They grip well but they just don't give as much confidence as they used to, though overall I'm happy with them and how cheap they were when I got them.</p><p>I will say one thing, even when they were in their prime, the wet performance wasn't really the best since the car was pretty prone to hydroplaning, now it's way worse. They give no confidence at all in the rain, feeling like it's about to skid out at any time (I almost spun out at a roundabout because it was tilted and wet).</p>
Cheapest option isn't always the worst. These tyres are godly quiet. They even handle well on B-roads at speed for what they are.
Fuel economy on these is better than my previous, only marginal, 0.5 - 1mpg difference
Overall id recommend these tyres to anyone stretched on their budget :)

Long trips over 1000 miles in extremely high temperatures.
Bought these used for cheap, expected nothing much but got an amazing tire.
Put these on my 2009 Honda Jazz Mugen (lowered, stiffer suspension, larger brakes, mugen kit all from factory) and got wowed, they handle amazingly, a lot of grip and everything.
Really comfortable and quiet on the inside but are a little prone to hydroplaning due to the weight of my vehicle and the width compared to stock.
Ignore all the people on here talking as if you have to put Pirelli’s on every vehicle known to man. Your tyre choice is relative to your individual circumstances; vehicle type, speed, usage, type etc. I’ve had 4 of these fitted to my VW Transporter Kombi. I like most are looking for a decent enough tyre that doesn’t break the bank.
Let me tell you that these don’t disappoint. First of all these things are QUIET. Seriously on a T28 running 255/40/20 I would expect some road nice, but these are so quiet it was pleasantly surprising. Dry grip is fine, no issues on windy country roads razzing around in the van. Not had a very wet day to test yet but from the 2022 and 2023 tests I’m not expecting issues.
Don’t hesitate buying these.
