I upgraded my wheels from 15 to 17 inches at a tyre shop, there were used tyres that came with them but they were too tall for my car, thus I was introduced to try Mastersteel which was within my budget.
I have read pretty good reviews online for the super sport 2 model and decided to try this out as it is a UHP tyre. I am really impressed with the dry and wet grip, and the overall comfort and quiet ride! They give me the confidence to drive faster on rainy days, treads on water puddles without much drama. They can definitely compete with other premium brands like continental in terms of grip and comfort.
Wear is good, have used them for more than 110,000km with tyre rotation @ every 10,000km and they seem to be able to last at least another 10,000km! However, I can hear a little humming sound coming from the tyres already. May decide to change them out earlier if the sound gets louder.
Will definitely consider changing to another new set of mastersteels!
