Economy tyres are built around low rolling resistance — the engine spends less effort keeping the wheel turning, and that shows up at the pump. Michelin E PRIMACY 2 is one of them. The price is usually a harder compound: on a wet road you need to brake earlier and carry more margin into corners. In return they cover more kilometres than softer compounds. Leading manufacturers keep narrowing the wet-grip gap with new compounds, but a difference between an economy and a standard tyre is normally still there.

<p>As the front tyres had been changed a while 9 months ago for Hankook Ventus Evo 3 i can tell you i will definitely not buy these Hankooks again. The tyre has a life time less than half of the Michelin so in the end they are twice as expensive.. so probably i will go for the new Michelin Primacy 5 energy. They say it's lifetime is even better than this one so that means already a lot.. I did think about the Hankook Ion Evo but it's more expensive and again doesn't come close to the lifetime of the Michelin and how often you drive on the limits of the tyres?</p>
<p>I got these tyres on a new Tesla model 3 in the winter. Initially the grip at cold and wet weather was very bad, dangerous is a better word. During spring the grip improved a little and with summer temperatures it is pretty ok. The wear is good as only 0.5mm is gone after 12000 miles. The efficiency is also good as I’m driving with 11.5kwh/km on average. I really don’t like the stearing. There is a delayed response around the center and load changes are not handled well. Rapid corner changes at not fun to drive. My former tesla had goodyear asymetric 6 which handled much better. Noise levels are pretty low, harsch roads do still make noise.</p>
I drove it with my ev for 7000 km, the grip in dry is great, but in ice has almost no grip :)
I dont like it because the road feedback is alot on this. I dont have experience with other tyres of this car, maybe the problem is the car (Mazda 6e).
It looks good and lasts moderately
