Latitude Tour

The wear went down to 3mm @ 40,000 miles The tread ‘flaked’ on the front driver’s side so had to replace recently rather than next year. Wet and dry expected for Michelins as always was a fan but the handling and steering left and road camber sensitive for 5 years i thought was the Land Rover Freelander’s age. Was going to change car but wife persuaded me to keep car as reliable. Fitted Pirelli Scorpion Verde and wow it steers straight!!! I am fuming with Michelin

These tires are rated at 106 weight which is 2000 lbs prox and v rated which is up to 149 mph. They are on a Hyundai Caligraphy with awd and a 2.5T engine. The car is better than some of the muscle cars I had in the '60s. So, maybe the reason it rides hard is the tire is stiffer to handle a bid load and high speeds. Of course I do not go 149 to that is wasted. I am unhappy with the ride. Seems to be stiff, particularly when it is cold. The mfgr states TP should be 35 lbs, so that may be a little high for that size sidewall. The tires I took off were 255/40R 20, and rode very hard. In the '60s, we kept tires inflated at 32 and maybe that is what these tires need. Anyway, after new rims and tires, I am worn out on replacing, so what is, is on these and I am stuck with them for the future. Since I only drive 5,000 miles a year they should last me 10 years. I took them to a fairly steep hill in the pouring rain and slammed the accelerator and with awd the car took off like a rocket, so grip is outstanding.

Have them on my CRV III since 2014! Done 90.000 km so far without an issue. They grip as day one, the sidewalls are a bit cracky but the tread is still fine that's why I have not replaced them as yet. Mostly highway kms but also some off road although not really tested on snow. Unbelievably quiet, still to day, never had a puncture nor air loss, simply outstanding tyres, will buy them again but cannot find the dimensions anymore, so I will have to settle either for 235/60/18 or 235/55/18.

I am a struto-camel ... they have the m + s symbol, but they are not really winter (you can use them if the temperature does not drop below -5 degrees Celsius) ... after 20,000 km, they already seem consumed as the duration life ... I say that I have them mounted on the new car, so the car was equipped by the manufacturer ...

Just got these from friend who did not need them any more with about 70% of life left. I put them on my wife's Audi Q5 tdi. Compared to my previous Contis and Dunlops they seem to be pretty smooth and comfortable with good grip. However if you like a "wide" look while sticking to original dimensions be aware that these Michelins look much narrower than say the Dunlop sport . If you don't care about that then it's an excellent choice.
