The largest and best-selling category, and Nankang COMFORT N-729 belongs to it. No single property is pushed here at the expense of the others — comfort, grip, noise and tread life keep a sensible balance. For most drivers it is the safest bet: the tyre behaves predictably in the dry and in the wet and covers a decent number of kilometres.

What owners say
The tyre is a budget tyre, so you can't expect high end performance. That said, there are budget tyres that will outperform these. In dry they are not much different to other tyres, but in the WET is a different story. Brand new and if your corner was a bit sharp, the car would slide slightly at speeds around 40-50 km/h. Sometimes heavier braking would have my ABS kicking in. As they AGE by a couple years or the tread starts wearing, it gets worse, especially on roads where the asphalt is glass smooth or if you have the unfortunate areas that have diesel spilling.
For many who may not be as adept to driving as say, enthusiasts to safely react to the situation, this could be a real problem.
For this reason I wouldn't recommend this for everyone, nor the XR611 which is not even as good as the N729.
