P6 Cinturato

<p>First of all - car is top-less and it is driven as such. In summer and in hot & clear weather only, no snow, no rain and only few thousand kilometers per year, but every drive is spirited, preferably on the twisty backroads, never on the track.</p><p>These tires were already mounted on the car when I got it (all 4). They were 5 years old at the time, with visible small cracks on the sidewalls. As such they did not inspire confidence. Once I got confortable with the car these tires surprised me every single drive, boy was I wrong initially. Great feedback, great grip.
Few years in I had another driver came to me to ask about tires as he was having hard time following me on the twisties (with speeds up to about 100km/h) with his Renault Clio RS mk3. He was shocked when he saw Cinturato P6 "eco" label on the tires. Even more so when I told him how old the tires were at the time.</p><p>After additional few years I changed rear set for slightly used, newer Goodyear Efficientgrip as the oportunity presented itself.
Car is FWD but in the 10 summer seasons I can not recall even 1 situation where understeer would accure. I did have 2 situations where rear end got loose and got me sideways big time - both times after changing rear set for Goodyears.
Now keep in mind that Pirellis on the front have production date from 2011 and were on the car all the time up to 2026. Cracks are still there but front is as stable and as precise as it ever was. Can not say the same for the rear Goodyears as one exploded this summer (inner sidewall let go, no damage on the tread). Because of this accident I will be replacing all 4 tires with new.
In this instance P6s were far superior to Goodyears.</p><p>Knowing these Pirellis are 15 years old and still offer the grip they do still surprises me every drive. I can not say (yet) if this is because of the tire, the car or the combination of both but I doubt I will be able to get another tire to last this long and not degrade. Since P6 Cinturatos are not available new, I will have to buy other tire. Still undecided what to get.</p><p>Can not comment on the road noise from tires, but you defenitely can not hear them over the wind noise and engine singing.
Can not comment on grip in wet or cold conditions as car was only driven in sunny summer days.
Can not comment on comfort as car is unconfortable to start with (hard ride), but no shaking and no balancing problems.</p>

Goddamn noisy tyres. They just droan and droan for flipping ever.

I only used michelin before on my Honda city but this time 15 inches michelin were not available..... So went for the pirelli p6 thinking it to be the next best thing and boy I was proved right... They are excellent tyres in all the parameters but noise.... How can any tyre produce so much noise....

Terrible tyres. Absolutely noisy. I'm a master tech myself and the noise and vibrations caused by these tyres made me check my suspension components for problems. Will not recommend.
