Technical information
Focus: Sport
With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Pirelli P ZERO WINTER 2 belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

What owners say
First of all I would like to mention that I have switched cars and tyres too. I went from an Audi A4 B8.5 Quattro on Continental Wintercontact 870Ps to a Ford Focus ST mk4 and I was a bit worried going from awd to fwd during the winter, but Pirelli have made a great tyre. Dry, wet and snow grip are excellent, the only circumstance where I have found the tyres to not overachieve my expectations are conditions when the roads are soaking wet and the ambient temperatures are above 3 degrees Celsius and that is only in longitudinal grip when accelerating. Braking is amazing, lateral grip is astonishing for a winter tire and ice and performance is very good and wear seems also good. I would definitely recommend this tyre to anyone.
Apsolute monster of a tyre, wet, dry or snow!!! I bought NA2 version (Porsche homologation) for my Alfa Romeo 159 and handling is ridicolous, as well as grip, dry or wet. Fully recommend!
These tires are absolutely phenomenal on snow and ice (perfect grip), the direction changes are immediate and you can really feel a very strong grip on wet and cold roads as well. I couldn’t imagine that a winter tire could be so sporty and so enjoyable to drive (not noisy). The only trade is that they will last only 2 winters if you like to have fun but that’s the price you pay for an absolutely great driving experience ! I really recommend the Pirelli P zero winter 2 !
Great in proper winter conditions, average otherwise.
