A standard tyre with an added dose of sportiness — Tomket SPORT XL BSW is one of them. The basis stays balanced: comfort, quietness and tread life at the level of an ordinary tyre. The manufacturer adds a stiffer sidewall or a grippier compound, so the response is sharper at speed and through corners. The ideal is that none of it comes out of the tyre's mileage.

What owners say
I’ve had a pair of these on our vitara for the last two years and have no complaints. They are on the back of the car so can’t rate them for how they feel on steering, but grip on the rear of the car has been fine (admittedly it’s no race car). The only negative comment I could make is that they do appear to be wearing relatively quickly. On about 15k and they are probably 70% worn.
The Tomket tyres rated B & C @ £55 each replaced Pirelli's at £200 each, they are quieter, provide better ride comfort and handling. The grip is as good as Pirelli tyres and for a budget tyre they're tremendous value for money.
Update on review I did in January.
The tyres grip really well in the dry and wet, however I have only had them on the car for 4 months and already I am down to 3-4mm (even) tread on both. One failed the MOT due to damage from a nail or glass, although it never punctured or leaked.
I think these must have a softer compound than many other cheap tyres which although means they have great wet and dry grip, they seem to be wearing really fast and I have only done about 3000 miles. I have not been racing or wheel spinning so will try Imperials when I have to replace these in the next few months.
Had a set of Tomket Sport rear tyres installed on my BMW E46 325Ci replacing some Continentals after damaging them due to potholes and I have to say I am really impressed.
Great grip and no issues so far. Too early to say about wear but when I need the fronts replaced I will certainly look to complete the Tomket set and they are around a quarter to a third of the price of the main brands.
Decent enough tyres. They worked out cheap for my Mini S, and handle nicely.
I'd say if you had tyres fitted "that immediately fell apart" I'd either be going back to the garage or to the manufacturer as tyres don't just fall to pieces?
I'm genuinely perplexed by that review?
I shall update this one if it does fall to pieces, but if it does, then I shall be getting a refund, as tyres falling apart obviously isn't a normal thing for them to do.
I'd expect a full refund or replacement for non-falling to pieces ones.

What we're the details of these tyres just "falling to pieces"?
I've never seen or heard of a tyre doing anything like that, unless the car has sat for 10 years.
