Technical information
Focus: All Terrain
All-terrain really is fifty-fifty: as much at home on tarmac as on an unpaved road. Yokohama G015 belongs to this category. A chunkier block tread and reinforced construction bite on gravel, mud and rock and resist cuts better, while the tyre keeps usable manners in everyday traffic. It is the choice for SUVs and pickups that meet rough ground more than just now and then, yet still cover their daily kilometres on the road. Compared with a road tyre, expect more noise and a slightly longer wet braking distance.

What owners say

Hi ,

It's been two years since my original review, and I am happy to provide an update on the Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 tyres.

Overall, they have been a great AT tyre for SUVs, offering a strong balance for both on-road and off-road driving. While they are not intended for heavy-duty, dedicated off-roading, they truly offer the best of both worlds.

Here is my experience after using them:
• On-Road Performance: The dry road grip and handling are very good, and I have found the wet grip and handling to be reliable as well. They are also surprisingly quiet and perform very well on the highway.
• Off-Road Capabilities: Generally, they have good off-road capabilities. They perform very well on dirt and rocky roads, and I found them to be good in the snow. They are mediocre in sand and struggle in deep mud and ice.
• Durability and Wear: I have found them to be very durable and trustworthy in off-road conditions. The wear has been reasonable and linear throughout the time I have used them. I plan to change them after 4 years, having covered approximately 60,000 km.
Based on my experience, I would definitely buy them again.

I hope this helps

Same car other original Subaru tyres

I've always felt confident and capable with the G015's on my Outback. Well mannered on road and capable for light to moderate off road. It takes a bit of getting used to the aggressive side lugs when cornering and braking on road, but the behavior is consistent and predictable. Overall a great tire, long wear, and super reliable and performant.
I'm on my second set of Yokohama G015 fitted to a 2019 Suzuki Jimny. First set were sized 215/75R15 with a 100 load rating. I replaced these after 7 years and 49000 miles, they still had loads of tread left and were only swapped out due to age.
After 3000 miles I find that I prefer the smaller (stock size) 195/80R15 with a 96 load rating. The higher load rating and LT (light truck) construction of the bigger tyres made for a slightly harsher ride. The 195s seem to be less skittish in the rain as well.
Overall I'm really pleased with their performance. They start off with so much tread depth that you're likely to be replacing them due to age rather than wear, like me. Would definitely buy again.
Overall happy with there performance. These spent about 10% of the tread life off road. They never let me down there, wet road performance is some what lacking. Tread wear is not great, 26k miles across 2 years and I need to replace them. About 80% used, but no longer enough tread to use off road. I expected more life from these. I do have an aggressive on road driving style, but nothing crazy and almost never spin my tires on or off road. Looking for a more aggressive off road tire now.
