TURANZA ALL SEASON 6

<p>Now nearly 2 years and 20k miles in. These tyres are still as good as they were new and tread has only dropped to 5-6mm all round, suggesting >40,000 miles a set which is more than the OE Pirelli P7 summer tyres managed. Have experienced winter slush and light snow without any grip issues, when the car felt stable and safe, but as I live on the south coast with regular trips to family in Yorkshire, they don’t need to be a dedicated winter tyre. Economy unchanged around 45mpg overall, 50mpg on a motorway run. For my use, these have been very impressive and I would be happy to replace them with another set, although there may be even better choices in 3 years when these should be just about done.</p>

<p>After 70,000 km and 5 years with my Opel Mokka, I have replaced the aging Vredestein Quatracs, which had recently increased chipping and tearing the tread on the front axle. (No, it wasn’t an alignment issue — the problem clearly worsened as the tyres aged.)</p><p>In this size, the Bridgestones are very quiet and comfortable over bumps, which is a great benefit in city driving. On dry roads I would rate them higher than the Vredesteins; stability and handling feel more precise (which is still an overstatement for the Mokka and its balloon‑sized tyres). The car feels a bit more stable at motorway speeds. I haven’t driven in heavy rain yet, but on wet roads the grip feels excellent. Overall, in both dry and wet conditions the tyres feel almost like summer tyres.</p><p>It’s too early to comment on wear, fuel consumption, or winter capabilities. This is my second purchase of the Bridgestone Turanza AS6 — I’ve been running them for over a year on another vehicle — so I’m putting my money where my mouth is ;-)</p><p>In general, I think they’re a great option if you want all‑season tyres that feel closer to summer tyres.</p>

<p>After 20000 miles I can rate these as very good tyres. I have tried to assign score in each category according to my experiences with other all season tyres I have driven (Pirelli SF3, Vredestein Quatrac, Bridgestone A005 evo and Toyo Celsius 2) and not compare it to specialized summer or winter tyres.
On family estate car I find them great in both dry and wet. Since we do not have much snow here, I have driven on snow for only a few days and it felt good enough and safe. I have not observed any apparent disadvantage to winter tyres (I live in a lowland country type with not many steep hills).
From the comfort perspective they seem to be on the firmer side and they needed quite a lot of miles to became quieter. On the other hand, thanks to the firmness the car feels stable even at high motorway speeds.
Overall, I would recommend them especially if you want an all season tyre that feels closer to summer tyre.
Fuel consumption seems to be a tiny bit lower (2-3%) in comparison to previous Conti SportContact 5.
I am definitely getting another set for the secomd car this autumn.</p>

<p>Exceptionally good all season tire for my needs. I preferred it for the superior wet performance in tests and I could feel it on the Swiss roads, very safe tire even in heavy rain conditions. Provides overall better performance in all conditions compared to the Kinergy 4S2 I had before. Since for me snow performance is just needed to come home safely in case I encounter a storm, I find it a very good fit for my needs and safe enough in these conditions. It is slightly more noisy but not in an annoying way. As always when comparing premium AS tires, the price is a huge factor; these were the cheapest premium tires I could buy, so they were great value as well. Michelin CC2 is double the price of these which for me is out of market, CC3 aren't manufactured in this size. Same goes for Continental. I will happily get them again if the price stays this competitive. The only tire I would consider to replace them with is the Pirelli SF3.</p>

<p>Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 are great all season tyres. They replaced Michelin Cross Climate 2. For mileage comparison they have both lasted around 25000 on a front axel on a front wheel drive car and 50000 on the rears. the Bridgestone have still got more tread left compared to the Michelin by around 2mil a good improvement, but they are starting to crack on the tread now. The Bridgestone are noticeably more fun to drive give better steering response and feel more planted. The Michelins were nicer for cruising they soak up bumps and potholes much better and are quieter. Both were great in ice and frosty conditions and dealt with snow well. I am however going back to summer tyres, they are way more fun to drive for the majority of seasons in the UK. I personally found both sets of the all seasons just not as fun to drive as good summer tyres (obviously) I drive a lot of twisty B roads and they never felt as secure as summers or handle as well in wet conditions they are just ok. Also there's a notable difference in braking differences compared with summer tyres they just seem to take a bit longer to come to a full stop than you expect.</p>
