<p>At the time I purchased these, they were the only all-weather tire in size 205/45 R17 I could find in North America. It was my first experience with Vredestein. They are excellent in the wet, including cold and wet, and while driving spiritedly. They’re good in the dry, although breaking distance is average. They’re surprisingly okay in the snow! I wouldn’t use them as dedicated winter tires in Canada, but they managed well in fresh snow, packed snow and uphill on slippery packed snow. The tire is marketed as being performance-oriented, which is a bit of a stretch. It does handle well, but under high torque, the tires tend to take a second before finding their grip.
The biggest downside of these tires are the sidewalls which are on the softer side. Actually, after hitting what felt like a small pothole, the tire ripped across the sidewall and tread. That kind of tear was too catastrophic to be repaired. At the time, I could not source a replacement tire in Canada, which is when I decided to swap all four tires for something different.</p>

<p>I've had several premium brands of All Season tyres fitted to SUVs (Honda CRV, Toyota RAV 4, Ford Galaxy TDCi) over the last few years (Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michelin, Hankook) and they've all performed well and lasted a reasonable mileage before needing replaced. However, the Vredestein Quatracs as fitted to my Ford Galaxy AWD in February 2026 have been utterly shocking. In July after only 3000 miles of driving, consisting of mainly pootling about on normal roads (NB no off-road driving) with some steady longer runs on dual carriageways, the tread on the front tyres had started to disintegrate shedding flakes and granules (see pics). These are in the process of a warranty return via Asda Tyres - no news yet on this front from Vredestein / Asda. The rate of wear on rears is also concerning. The tread is still intact but already down to 6mm after only 4000 miles and will be lucky to make my annual mileage of 8000 without needing replacing. Luckily I have a spare pair of Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons left over from when the Vredesteins were fitted and now have these on the front with the Vredesteins still on the rear. For comparison, my Goodyears were fitted in February 2023, lasted for three years and around 20000 miles before the fronts reached minimum legal tread, whilst the rears still had 6mm left. As already mentioned, the durability of the Vredesteins is quite shocking and I'll never go near this brand again. For info: I had a wheel alignment done at the same time the front Vredesteins were taken off and there were no issues there.</p>

<p>Once again Vredestein proves to be the best performing and longest lasting tire for me, and they're 30% cheaper than Michelin.
Dry grip is insane, very controllable slip on launches despite my 390hp RWD Mustang.
Cornering is great, it's softer compared to summer tires of course but predictable and smooth.
They're a bit noisy, I can hear the tires "dragging" but that means it's gripping hard.
Wet and snow behave surprisingly good, I've went offroad on a hill covered in a couple inches of snow, gravel and mud without ever getting stuck and barely slipping despite the Mustang.
Oversteer and understeer occurs on ice, take extra precautions and drive slow when asphalt is glossy/glittery, it applies to every tire but these ones lose control easier from lateral forces when slippery.
I've mounted these tires on a Dacia Duster 4x4, Audi A3 and now the Mustang, they all behave like this. Compared to Michelin or Continental which cost over 200€ these Vredestein perform the same or better for around 150€ unbelievable. I'm curious how long they'll last on the Mustang but on previous cars they endured lots more than expected. I have Vredestein (best performance and value) as first choice with Bridgestone (less available in my size hard to find) performance wise. Michelin and Continental 2nd (performance on par with Vredestein and a notch below Bridgestone, always available but the pricing is unjustifiable). I won't buy Pirelli anymore, they're super comfortable and good performing but they get shredded, bald and trashed within 15-20tkm,</p>

I fitted these tires to my BMW 320d back in fall, they have been quit allright since. I am disapointed by the lack of road feedback and an squishy feeling, even after after adjusting the tire pressure to the maximum. They offer good grip in any situations, I never felt unsafe and the griplevels support sporty driving, but as I said, the issue is the unprecise steering feel and a "deadspot" in the middle which makes it worse. The tires would perform great on an less sporty vehicle than an BMW, I suppose. Maybe I am just used to the Goodyears I had on before.

Tyres seem ok for daily use. Used recently in the aftermath of heavy snow which has now compacted down. Felt very confident in these conditions. This was on my VW Transporter van.
